This is their most black metal sounding album. Later albums started to sound like modern metal or with hints of djent influence.
Great debut by the band. I love Dark Souls and black metal, so this is great! Sid

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723

A Hell’s Heroes discovery for me, pulled me right in. It’s just too damn fun. The guitar rises out of the dark into these fantastically warm updrafts and I’m absolutely soaring from one to the next. It’s just downright tasty, and the texture of the bite is satisfying too. My cat says it’s good stuff to kill shoelaces to, also. breathingcatfurniture
